KEMER READY FOR THE GLOBAL CYCLING STAGE: FINAL PREPARATIONS FOR AKRA GRAN FONDO COMPLETED


Kemer, one of Antalya’s rising centers of sports tourism, is fully ready to host a major international cycling event. Ahead of the Akra Gran Fondo Antalya, set for April 11–12, all preparations have been completed and excitement in the district has reached its peak.

Held under the theme “Kings & Queens of Olympos,” the race will bring together hundreds of professional and amateur cyclists on the same course. Participation is expected to be higher than ever this year.

High-Level Safety and Organization

Following the latest evaluations led by Ahmet Solmaz, it was announced that all units are fully prepared and operating in coordination. Route safety, medical teams, traffic arrangements, and athlete support points have been thoroughly planned.

Officials emphasized that every detail has been carefully handled to ensure both athlete safety and the smooth running of the race.

Major Contribution to Kemer’s Promotion

With some of the most unique routes in the Mediterranean, Kemer aims to further strengthen its position in the international sports tourism arena through this event. Authorities note that the organization will significantly contribute to the regional economy and tourism activity.

Throughout the race, cyclists will tackle challenging climbs at the foothills of the Taurus Mountains, ride through pine forests, and enjoy breathtaking coastal views. Participants will compete not only for rankings but also for the title of “Kings & Queens of Olympos.”
